From
2000-2005, I taught in the Web Development program
at the Aspen campus of Colorado
Mountain College.
Classes included two sections
of Web Site Design &
Authoring which took a pragmatic approach
to teaching the subject. In
the first section, tailored for non designers,
students learned how to write HTML and in two
consecutive weekends, learn how to publish and
manage their sites.
The advanced web design course was tailored for graphic designers, with an emphasis on creative uses of HTML and designing sites with color. Students learned how to layout pages using Adobe GoLive, apply framesets, and utilize some advanced JavaScript features such as rollover menu buttons and setting status bar text display.
